Isaiah 40:31…But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
OBI has supported English camps for Ukrainian teens since 2002. Over the years, there have been numerous variations, most notably during the summers of Covid and the war in Ukraine. Many of the activities have been the same…skits, team mottos, team banners, team photos, praise and worship, Bible lessons, English lessons, competitions, bonfires, and s’mores.
More than 100 American team members have taught hundreds of Ukrainian teens through the years. Ukrainian and American leaders have always been committed to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with these young Ukrainians, as well as providing English instruction which enhances the future job opportunities of young people. Last year, more than 70 teens traveled to the Carpathian Mountains to escape the daily threat of war.
This year, the camp will be held near Kyiv…July 14-22. The constant reminder that their country is at war has not changed. In addition, the commitment of Valentyn and his team with the support of Olive Branch International has not changed either. These young Ukrainians face a challenging future. They need the hope found only in Jesus Christ.
Please prayerfully consider donating to support this life-changing camp that has touched the lives of so many through the years. Designate ENGLISH CAMP.
