They all love the Lord, their country, and their military.

2 Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
God is able, and He generously provided for the OBI team of four women to join our Ukrainian sisters at the training retreat in August. There were 50 women from clubs in fourteen cities across Ukraine. Getting to the retreat center was an adventure for all of us. The American team was challenged to enter Ukraine through Poland this time as travel through Kyiv was not an option. Many of the ladies also traveled for two days to get to the retreat center in the breathtaking Carpathian Mountains of western Ukraine. They came to give God the glory for all that He has done for them.

The ladies shared their stories of their ministries through clubs with names like “Faith, Hope, and Love,” “Lavender,” ” Full of Hope” “Joy,” and “Victory in the Lord.” Other club names honor Biblical women such as ”Ruth,” “Anna,” “Esther,” and “Tabitha.” They came from across Ukraine: Kyiv, Kherson, Kryvyi Rih, Ivano-Frankyvsk, Khmelnytskii, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Brody, as well as Oleksandria. Some have served in the military; most were wives and mothers of military. They all love the Lord, their country, and their military. They each use their talents and resources to answer the Lord’s call to serve during this challenging time. They share Jesus with other women, children, wounded soldiers, and those who are at the front lines.

This time together was spent sharing ideas, collaborating, training, and encouraging each other. It was a privilege to be with them and to let them know that they are not forgotten. Being there in person was so important, and hugs were plentiful. Because they go home to nightly air raids and shelling, having a few days of fellowship, training, and quiet in the beauty of God’s creation was the refreshment they needed.
Thank you for supporting this training retreat and the mission they face as they return home. Each will be preparing to share God’s love story at Christmas. You can continue to support them with your gift through GLOBAL FAMILY SUPPORT. Support is needed.
Psalm 126:3 “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”
Respectfully,
