CONNECT, COLLABORATE & PARTNERSHIPS - Linda Sheimo

Christian Association of Military Christian Fellowship (WCON AMCF)

Just imagine 120 women sitting and standing in a room to hear about ministry to Christian uniformed women and military wives.  That is what happened at the World Conference Association of Military Christian Fellowship (WCON AMCF) in Brazil on October 18th. Linda, with Petty Officer Two Patricia Zacarias, Argentine Navy, Martha Stevenson-Jones, CRU Military and Gina Rajah, Brazil Military Christian Fellowship shared with women about Christian military ministry around the world and the necessary elements. There were 1000 participants from 73 countries coming together to collaborate on improving, encouraging and effectively serving uniformed men, women and families around the world.

One on one to God, then one on one to another woman.  God calls us to connect one on one regardless of gender or any other identifier.  We praise God for new connections, the collaboration with many different organizations and God’s blessings.

BRAND NEW ISRAEL PROJECT:

A new project in Israel was launched this year. OBI has been asked by Christ Church of the Valley (CCV) to partner in providing medical, mental health, and wellbeing training for pastors and first responders in communities in Israel targeted by drones, rockets, and missiles every single day. Resources are limited and the need for training communities in wound care, CPR, trauma care, burnout, and more are mounting. We have arranged for bi-weekly virtual training with pastors, teachers, and other first responders, telehealth opportunities are made available for individuals and families to provide counseling, and face-to-face training sessions outside of Israel are being arranged for pastors.

These group trainings focus on resilience and teach the basics of mass casualty disaster medical and mental health. When disaster strikes, what can you do until help arrives? We have a team of crisis and combat-experienced healthcare professionals ready to begin traveling in early January to a location outside of Israel. Please pray with us for God to supply all we need. Perhaps you would consider supporting these efforts with a gift to OBI as well? Thank you for standing with us in responding to this very important need.

Please consider donating to our new Israel Mass Disaster & Trauma Training Project. Designate ISRAEL.

In His Service,
