Meet Jim Molloy
Board Member
"Jim Served 30 Years of Active Duty in the U.S., Germany, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Ukraine and Brazil."
Jim and Kelly Molloy live in Kenya, where Jim is the Chief Pilot for Samaritan Purse’s Mission Aviation Services East Africa. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member with the Liberty University School of Aeronautics. Prior to going part-time as adjunct faculty and moving to Kenya with Samaritan’s Purse, he was the Dean of the School of Aeronautics. Jim grew up in Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Upon graduation, he was commissioned into the United States Air Force. During his first duty assignment after Air Force pilot training, Jim and Kelly met, and they were married in 1985. After serving 30 years of active duty in various locations in the United States and in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Ukraine and Brazil, Jim retired from the Air Force in May 2011. Kelly and Jim have two married daughters and five grandchildren.
They became aware of Olive Branch International while preparing for their three-year assignment to the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine and meeting OBI’s American and Ukrainian founders. One of the founding couples lived just one street over from them in Northern Virginia! After being involved with Ukraine on a professional level with the Air Force and personal level with the OBI summer camps during those 3 years, they became committed to a life-long partnership in the OBI mission in Ukraine. Since then, their interest and involvement has expanded to every mission God has directed for OBI. Jim has also been actively involved with the Civil Air Patrol, the Experimental Aircraft Association, the First Cause organization, and their local church.
