Meet Ken Wade

Ken Wade is a retired Army officer with a career as a Medical Service Corps Operations Officer with an emphasis in field medical support, host nation support and medical evacuation.  After his uniformed service, he was employed as the International Medical Programs Manager at the Office of the US Army Surgeon General.  His areas of responsibility included NATO medical standardization, security assistance and cooperation programs, assistance to foreign national officers including medical liaison officers, and a subject matter expert on DOD medical care for foreign national military personnel and their family members.  For several years, he was a certified contracting officer representative.
 

Ken held credentials as a Rehabilitation Counselor with experience in psychiatric and substance abuse rehabilitation in both the institutional and community environments.  Among his most valued experiences is his ten-year coordination of Army Medical Department support to the United Airlines/Childhood Hospice International Fantasy Flight, an annual Christmas party for children enrolled in hospice programs.   He was a planner and participant in two military medical humanitarian assistance missions and a June 2022 Church mission trip to work with Christian Best Camps of Kenya and its work in the Mathare and Kibera ghettos.
 

Ken is married to Cindy, clearly his better half, father to Sam and Annie and recently grandfather to Marleigh Mae.  He is a member of Burke Community Church where he serves as a Sunday School class facilitator and member of the safety team.
