"Beyond Olive Branch, She Serves as Church Secretary, A Substitute Teacher, A School Librarian, and A Baker."
Diane Carnahan became a Navy wife after graduating from college with a undergraduate degree in Sociology and a Masters in Education from SUNY at Albany. After working briefly Diane spent many years as a full-time mom and volunteer. Part-time jobs during that time included church secretary, substitute teacher, school librarian, and a short time as a baker in a bakery. Diane has served on several non-profit boards.
Since 1995, she worked in administrative support at a private elementary school and recently retired. Diane has attended PWOC and OCF Bible studies and other women's ministry activities. While her husband was on active duty, she was actively involved in military support activities including command ombudsman. She has been active in children, youth, adult ministries, and music ministries at local churches in a number of communities. Her family has housed many international visitors and missionaries in their home.
Diane first learned about Olive Branch in early 2000. Diane has participated in numeroustrips to Eastern Europe as part of the Family Support Program, specifically working with women in the military communities. She has assisted with administrative tasks for OBI. Diane is married to Tom and they have two married sons and seven grandchildren. They enjoy spending as much time as possible with their families.
