Kelly and I live in Woodbridge, Virginia, and I am currently employed with the Department of Defense. I grew up in Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Upon graduation, I was commissioned into the United States Air Force. During my first duty assignment after Air Force pilot training, Kelly and I met, and we were married in 1985. After serving 30 years of active duty in various locations in the United States and in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Ukraine and Brazil, I retired from the Air Force in May 2011. I am currently enrolled with Liberty University working toward a degree of Education Specialist (Ed.S.), specializing in Curriculum and Instruction, and I hope to teach high school or middle school math sometime in the future. We are members of Occoquan Bible Church, where I serve as a Sunday school teacher for the middle school youth. Kelly and I have been married 27 years, and we have two daughters, Becca and Baylee.
